Progress
Hi All,
A surprise snowstorm started off our day. Everyone was off to a little later start than usual.
Rod was again up for several hours. He is definitely able to last a little longer and go a little farther than a week ago. The Dr. removed the IV feeding tube so now he is getting all his nourishment through the peg in his stomach.
Cleave said that now, when his tracheotomy is covered, his voice almost sounds like him.
While these steps are small in light of the long road ahead they are enormous when we consider where Rod had been.
Our search continues tomorrow (Jan. 13) for Rods next rehabilitation hospital.
Having Psalm, Cleave and the grandchildren here have been a real encouragement to him.

I’m so glad Clive and Psalm and the girls are there to encourage both of you. Please give Psalm a hug for me. I’d love to be able to stop and see all of you. It is wonderful to hear that Rod is improving. Love, Carolyn
